Before coming to Singapore she had worked in a shoe factory in Surabaya, the
largest city after Jakarta. She worked in the factory for 5 years. After she
got married she remained a housewife.
- She came to Singapore in May 2007 and have been with the same ever
since.
Her employer lives alone in a semi-d and Yuniati has been a helper and a
companion of sorts. Every week she will have visitors: her 4 sons and their
families - a total of 13 persons, including 5 grandchildren. The kitchen
would be a busy place on such occasions as Yuniati and Madam cooked for the
extended family.
Cooking
Ordinarily Yuniati's does simple cooking. Madam, being diabetic, eats simply
- no fries for example.
Childcare
Although Yuniati has not been a paid childminder, she has had occasion to
attend to one or more of the 5 grandchildren who come to visit Madam once a
week.
In addition, Yuniati is a mother herself, of a 9-year old son. She took care
of her son during the first 7 years, before she came to Singapore.
Personality
Yuniati is pleasant and polite. She neat and tidy in appearance, with short
shoulder-length hair. She is alert and helpful and exercises initiative.
She has a better than average education (12 years) among Indonesian domestic
helpers in Singapore. She has the potential to be a good domestic helper.
